Dear BK,
My name is Samantha. I am a single mom to 3 beautiful little girls. Isabella is 8 and she has Niemann Pick Disease Type C, another name for it is children’s alzheimers. Piper is 6 and she has autism/adhd and bipolar disorder. Phoebe is 5 and also has autism/adhd and odd. We have hit a very hard time and I am trying my best to do what I can for my girls. I can not work because I stay home and care for Isabella who requires 24/7 care. We have no transportation, I walk everywhere. When isabella is admitted to the hospital frequently I have no way to go and see her while she is in there because I don’t even have the money for a city bus. We live in a run down motel because I can’t afford the rent, deposit, and utilities on a house. I walk to the grocery store every day because we only have a mini refrigerator in the motel that doesn’t hold much. I can only carry 2 or 3 bags of food at a time. I do everything all by myself and I try so hard for my girls.
