Recently, we received a wish for a local family that experienced the unimaginable…the loss of a child. The Wisnewskis (mom & dad) are both teachers who work with and give back to children in their community every day. While this is never easy for any parent, regardless of their child’s age, it was excruciating for these loving parents to lose their baby Franny Jo just before the holidays and her birthday.
Sweet little Franny Jo would have been two tomorrow. Franny was the light of her family’s life. Her bright eyes, sweet smile and infectious laughter will be forever remembered by all who knew and loved her. There is simply no greater loss.
Franny made EJ a big brother, a job he took very seriously. EJ always had to ensure his baby sister was okay, and she thought he was the funniest person ever. EJ and Franny shared a very special bond that will live on in EJ. If you know us you know that grieving children are very close to our hearts. We realize that nothing will ever heal the pain that will live in EJ’s heart because of the loss of his sister. Our goal in granting a wish for sweet EJ is to simply provide him a little joy and distraction during this most difficult time.
After speaking with EJ’s parents, they decided that a trip to Great Wolf Lodge to escape their reality for a day or two would be the best medicine for EJ right now. To that end, we are sending the Wisnewskis $500.00 so they can do just that.
