Alaya is 5 years old. She was born at 30 weeks gestation with a grade 4 bilateral brain bleed. Alaya has Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, Chiari Malformation,and Hydrocephalus. Alaya needs assistance with everyday tasks and equipment with the proper support to keep her safe.
For special needs children, the most basic needs have to be specially made & customized which makes them extremely expensive. In today’s case its a car seat. You can buy a regular car seat for $100 but for Alaya the cost is $4,500.00 (not covered by insurance).
How many of us can say we had an extra 4-5 thousand dollars laying around for a car seat when we were raising kids? I know I didn’t. Parents of special needs children are met with so many struggles. Financial struggles being at the top of the list for many. That is where we come in. For Alaya’s mother Gianna this car seat is something she desperately needed & she was so appreciative to Bianca’s Kids and it’s supporters for granting her baby girl this wish.
