A WISH FOR FAMILY IS GRANTED FOR TEEN WITH RARE BLOOD VESSEL ABNORMALITY.

Joshua Michael is a senior at Williamstown High in New Jersey. He is missing his graduation this year to go to Brigham Medical in Boston, Mass. There, a team of neurologists and vascular anomaly specialists will be performing an angiogram and embolization on Josh. While they do this procedure, they will be stopping and preventing further bleeding as right now Josh is suffering from chronic arterial bleeding being fed from the carotid artery on his left side. This is being caused by an arterial venous malformation (AVM) which has eroded Josh’s lower jaw on the left side. There is an additional avm behind his left eye causing blurry vision, headaches, and swelling on the brain and ocular nerve. This surgery is the first of an estimated few the work for a permanent treatment.

Josh’s wish was for his family to be near him in Boston during his surgery and post-op recovery.  Needless to say, we are granted that wish bu gifting Josh’s family an 8 night/9 day stay at a hotel located directly across the street from the hospital in Boston.   This help gives Josh’s family the ability to travel there to lead him to a cure.  Josh will surrounded by love and support the entire time and we couldn’t be happier to make it happen.

Please keep Joshua and his family in your prayers this week
